Masserant's Feed & Grain is a family owned and operated business established in 1982 by Gerald Masserant and his three sons: Dave, Ken and Rollin Masserant.  The original mill located on Mill St. in Newport, MI was purchased from the Kahlbaum Brothers of Carleton, MI.  Masserant's Feed & Grain is currently owned by Dave and Catherine Masserant, Rollin and Brenda Masserant, Pete and Laura Burkhardt, and Kerry and Cheryl Burkey.  We have since expanded to serve our customers at four convenient locations in Newport, Flat Rock and Monroe.

          At our Newport location on Mill St. we purchase and store grain, sell farm fertilizer and herbicides, and provide a full line of ice melting products.  We also offer propane cylinder refill service.  Our Newport Mill has Michigan's largest and most complete offering of pigeon supplies including over thirty different types of mixed feed, vitamins, medications, pigeon grits and equipment.  Masserant's is proud to be one of the largest pigeon supply providers in the nation.  In addition, we maintain a large warehouse for our specialty lines of wild bird seed, horse and livestock feeds.

          Masserant's Hardware and Landscape, located at 3546 Swan Creek Rd., is Newport's only hardware and landscape supply outlet.  In addition to hardware, we have a wide selection of topsoil, mulch, decorative stone, and brick pavers.  We are the area's largest supplier of grass seed, weed and feed, fertilizers, and wood burning pellets.  Masserant's Hardware and Landscape also specializes in backyard pond and waterfall supplies.  We have the lowest prices on the most reliable brands of pond liners, filters, and fish food.  Our first-hand experience in creating backyard ponds and landscape waterfalls is unbeatable. 

          Our Flat Rock location at 27550 Telegraph Rd. was added in 1993 to serve the downriver area.  The location boasts many of the services found at our flagship store in Newport including: propane refills, brick pavers, wall stone, topsoil, and mulch.  Masserant's Feed & Grain also specializes in pool supplies and chlorine.  We have an excellent selection of pet supplies, treats, wild bird seed, and livestock feed.

          Our newest location, 5609 E. Dunbar Rd. in Monroe, MI, was opened in 2004 to serve our customers in Southern Monroe County.  We offer propane refills, pool supplies, wild bird seed, pet and livestock feed.  We also sell grass seed, fertilizer and landscape supplies.  Masserant's Feed & Grain has the lowest prices and best selection of pond liners, pumps, filters and fish food.  Seasonally we carry a beautiful array of koi, comets, goldfish, pond plants and tadpoles.
